At City Pantry, our mission is to make working lives better, and we couldn't do that without our team of passionate Pantlers. So, in our new Meet the Team series, you'll get to know some of us a little better - starting with Anne-Sophie!
Anne-Sophie joined City Pantry in November 2019 and is our Senior Vendor Account Manager. She manages a team of three and prides herself in building strong relationships with our vendor partners. We sat down with Anne-Sophie virtually to find out more about her role, her favourite aspects of working at City Pantry, and of course her most memorable City Pantry food moments!
Tell us a little bit about yourself, Anne-Sophie. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m from Belgium but have lived in lots of different countries growing up: the US, Brasil, Spain and now the UK, which has been home for the past five years. After university, I started working in my family business, but then I met my husband - who is British - so I moved to London and started working for a tech company.
Unfortunately, I later got made redundant so I started looking for a new job. I knew that I wanted to work for a company I loved or a product I loved - and if you can have both that’s a mega plus! I was looking for companies that had a great culture and a friend of mine told me about City Pantry. I applied, got the job, and immediately had a good feeling about it. I love the product and the purpose of the business, which is to make working people’s lives better.
I am so grateful to live and work in London - it’s opened up a whole new world of opportunities for me to grow as a person and challenge myself. To get to where I am today, it took a lot of hard work, perseverance, patience and a positive mindset. You’ve got to believe in yourself and your abilities!
