Eat, move, think: the food for thought study | City Pantry
Eat, Move, Think analyses the nutritional content of high street breakfast menus and reveals expert advice to help office workers adopt healthy eating habits while working from home.
Over the last year, many of us have had to pivot our eating and exercise habits to navigate the new normal - whether it was replacing regular gym sessions with at-home workouts, swapping regular meals out for takeaways, or foregoing healthy eating habits altogether while working from home. And while it’s understandable that our health and fitness priorities may have shifted over the last year, there’s no denying that taking care of ourselves is more important now than ever before. Ultimately, is the onus on employers to improve healthy food provisions for their remote teams, through healthy hamper deliveries or similar incentives?
Our new study - Eat, Move, Think: Food for Thought - looks at the average nutritional content across key items on high street restaurants’ breakfast menus, to help workers make healthier eating choices in 2021. Following this analysis, we asked nutrition, fitness, and business experts to weigh in on other aspects workers need to consider when prioritising healthy habits at home, and explain the impact of food and exercise on the nation’s mental and physical wellbeing.
